We had a very busy day in the neighborhood. This morning we set out in the dingy to explore the area. There are several islands and bays around. we crossed the bay where we came in and went to a very small island North of us. As we got close we could see a lagoon

We are in the Torres Islands. Tegua Island, Hestreux Bay. 80ft of water and can see the bottom. This is the clearest water we have seen so far. We had a nice ride this morning out of Waterfall as the day worn on things got a bit brisk. We arrived here around 3:30p. I’m sure

Boy did we have a lively ride back. Part of it was a following sea, looking out the back door the rollers were above the overhang on the “back porch” calmed a bit once we rounded the top of the island and as we got on the W side had a decent ride, not flat.

We saw Holly off at 1p this afternoon. She was on a twim otter prop plane. Glad it was only an hour ride to Santo. She should have another nice vacation, 2 nights in Oyster Island Resort, a 5-6 hour lay over in Vila. Think she’s going to take a taxi into Numbawan Cafe and

We came on around to Sola today (Sat). Tomorrow the weather is supposed to be worse. We’ll see Holly off Monday morning then head back to Waterfall Bay til the weather lets us head to the Solomons. We have a good signal on our local cell phone, maybe we’ll try to give you a call

Guess we’re not going to get up to the Reef islands while Holly is here. It’s just too windy and rough. We do have to get to the other side of Vanua Lava to Sola before Monday morning. Instead of going around the top we’ll probably go back south, around and up to the east
