We have turned around and headed back to Laipari. During Jim’s engine room check discovered an oil leak in a hydrolic hose in the main engine around 2pm. It’s 8:30pm and we are almost back to the anchorage. Lizzie is there to help us get tied to the bouy. Will sort this out tomorrow am.

We had morning coffe and tea with Lizzie, at 7:45a we left Laipari. Weather is looking good, we’ll decide in another 24 to 48 hours if we’re stopping in PNG. If the weather gives us a good shot for Australia we’re going to take it. Sunday, Sept 12 10am position is 08*08′.230S/156*39′.698E 212* heading, 6.2kt.

We are checked out of the Solomon Islands, have fuel. Tomorrow we will head back to Liapari till Mon or Tues then head to Paupa New Guinea (Louisiades). When we pass Gizo maybe I’ll have wifi again if we go close enough. Martha

Today internet didn’t last long, will be a while before we have that luxury again. We’re good, today everything is grey, sky and water. Time for some sun and fish. Think these waters are fished out. Nothing for weeks. We have hTomorrow is looking to to head to PNG, long range (week out) looks like
